Bryan Adams to play Belfast
Wednesday, 14 October 2009
Canadian rocker Bryan Adams will be stripping back to the ‘Bare Bones’ when he comes to Belfast at the start of next year.
The singer, whose track Everything I Do is the longest running UK number one single ever, will play a solo acoustic show at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on Sunday, January 17.
The concert will see Adams perform without his usual rock band. The Grammy-award winner has interspersed these acoustic shows with stadium dates in Europe and the US, giving his classic hits a new spin.
Adams will also play Dublin, Caslebar and Killarney as part of the Bare Bones tour.
Tickets to see Adams at the Waterfront Hall go on sale tomorrow at 9am, priced £44.
Meanwhile troubled pop star Pete Doherty, who was forced to pull out of his Belfast show last night due to illness, remains in a “stable” condition in a Swindon hospital.
A spokeswoman for the Great Western Hospital confirmed the Babyshambles frontman had been admitted, but said she was unable to comment on the nature of his illness.
His agent said Doherty was suffering from exhaustion and breathing difficulties.
