Buble: Witherspoon got it in one

Michael Buble duetted with Reese Witherspoon for his new album

Reese Witherspoon "nailed" her duet with Michael Buble in the first take, the Canadian cronner has revealed

The Oscar-winning actress has collaborated with Michael for a cover of the Frank and Nancy Sinatra hit Something Stupid on his upcoming new album To Be Loved.

Michael told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show: "She was so prepared. In one take, she nailed it."

The singer also explained how his manager came up with the idea of working with the actress - on the same day that he found out that his wife Luisana was pregnant.

"We loved Walk The Line and her voice was so smooth and wonderful. So my manager said 'call her'. And I said, 'I don't want to put her in that position'," he recalled.

"Then my wife came home and told me, 'Mike, we're pregnant.' And I was so happy I was like, 'Today's the day, I'm going to call her'."

He added: "It felt so good to get it off my chest, and she was so cute and excited [for us]."

To Be Loved will be released in April and features some of Michael's favourite classic love songs, as well as some original material.
