Call The Midwife's festive album

A second Call The Midwife album is set to be released - this time full of Christmas classics.

The BBC brought out a soundtrack album of the popular period drama earlier this year and now they are following it up with some retro festive tunes.

Call The Midwife - The Christmas Album is a bumper release featuring 30 tracks from the 2012 and upcoming 2013 Christmas specials.

Songs include When I Fall In Love sung by Laura Main (Sister Bernadette) and Stephen McGann (Dr Turner), Bing Crosby's White Christmas, Harry Belafonte's Mary's Boy Child and Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song.

The album also includes songs by Johnny Mathis, Judy Garland, Brenda Lee, Elvis Presley and Perry Como.

It will feature orchestral score highlights from the show by composer Peter Salem, too.

Call The Midwife - The Christmas Album is set for release on November 25 and the Christmas special episode will air in December.
