Matt Cardle has vowed never to let his success on The X Factor go to his head.
The When We Collide singer was crowned winner of the ITV1 talent show last year - but insists fame hasn't changed him.
"It winds me up when people who are normal and lovely, then get a bit of success on the show and come back as a big diva," he told the Daily Star.
"What happened to you in that last year which makes you think: 'I'm f***ing amazing'? You're just the same person you were before you went on."
Matt, whose debut album Letters is released on October 17, said his dad David is his biggest fan.
"He would say anything I do is amazing. Personally, I'm my own fiercest critic," he added.
"It might seem like there's huge pressure on me to succeed after past male X Factor winners have struggled, but all I can do is write the best I've ever written and sing the best I can sing and make sure the songs are from the heart."
