Carey recovers at home after injury
Mariah Carey is "fine" after dislocating her shoulder as she filmed her new music video.
The pop star was rushed to New York's Hospital for Special Surgery at the weekend when she injured a shoulder after falling on the set of the video shoot, her spokeswoman Cindi Berger told New York Post's Page Six.
"Mariah injured herself while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon," she said.
"She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine and is recovering at home."
Mariah, who was filming a video for a remix version of her song #Beautiful with rapper Young Jeezy, gave no indication of her injury online when she retweeted a message from singer-songwriter Ronnie Bettis.
"I just finished wrapping up the new #Beautiful remix video with @MariahCarey! It's gonna be a hot tamale! Believe that," Ronnie wrote.
Despite her injury, the 40-year-old songstress is expected to perform with the New York Philharmonic at the MLB All-Star charity concert at Central Park's Great Lawn on July 13, which will benefit victims of Superstorm Sandy.
#Beautiful, which features Grammy-winning R&B singer Miguel, is the first single from Mariah's upcoming album, which is due to be released later this year.
