Celine Dion set for Houston tribute

Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Usher will pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston

Celine Dion is to take part in a special tribute show for late diva Whitney Houston.

The Canadian songstress is one of the first stars confirmed to be performing at the show, alongside fellow Grammy-winners Usher and Jennifer Hudson.

The one-hour tribute - titled We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute To Whitney Houston - will be taped in Los Angeles in October and will air on America's CBS television network in November.

It will celebrate Whitney's life and career with artists paying their respects to the singer, exclusive interviews and previously unseen footage. It will also include some of the chart-topper's own most memorable performances.

Six-time Grammy winner Whitney died on February 11 aged 48. The singer accidentally drowned in a bath at a Beverly Hills hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Authorities said her death was complicated by cocaine use and heart disease.
