Charlotte Church channelled her inner rock chick as she performed at an intimate venue in Brighton this week.
The 26-year-old former opera singer - famous for her angelic performance of Pie Jesu aged 12 - let her hair down for an emotionally charged performance at the Green Door Store, a venue in the hip seaside town.
The flier for the gig read: "Be amongst the first to witness the latest and most exciting reincarnation of the former child star.
"Charlotte Church hits Green Door Store with her bold and unique new sound, creating vast musical landscapes with big drums, big guitars and a voice that has sold over 10 million records."
The singer - who is dating fellow Welsh musician Jonathan Powell - impressed the crowd with her new sound, and appeared to be enjoying herself.
But Charlotte was not so pleased with her budget accommodation while on the road.
She later tweeted: "Travelodge sucks."
