Cher Lloyd duets with Taylor Swift

Cher Lloyd has joined Taylor Swift on stage at her show for a live duet of the British star's hit Want U Back.

The sell-out crowd of over 15,000 people at the Staples Centre included The Great Gatsby star Tobey Maguire and his wife Jennifer Meyer.

The former X Factor contestant tweeted after the show: "Had the most amazing time performing with @taylorswift13, She's the sweetest girl I've ever met!!! Loved it!!!"

Taylor, who was wearing bright red hot pants and a sparkly "I heart LA" t-shirt, introduced the British singer saying: "You didn't think we would do a show here and not have a special guest?"

She added: 'She is a long way from home - she's actually from the UK, and she sings this song that has been in my head ever since it came out last summer.

"I know you probably know it; the feeling that when you break up with somebody and then you're like, 'Ugh, I shouldn't have done that. I want you back'."

Cher was introduced onto the stage with a drum roll wearing knee high boots, a leather skirt and a skimpy leather top that showed off her tattoos.

Taylor was also joined by singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles for a rendition of her track Brave during the show.
