Chris Brown countersues over fight

Chris Brown has filed an assault and battery lawsuit against Sha'keir Duarte

Chris Brown is counter-suing a man who has accused the R&B star's entourage of attacking him outside a recording studio earlier this year.

The singer has filed an assault and battery lawsuit against Sha'keir Duarte, who claimed in an earlier suit that he was injured when a fight erupted between Brown and Frank Ocean's entourages outside a West Hollywood studio in January.

Duarte's lawsuit filed in August accused Brown of being the aggressor in the fight. Brown's countersuit accuses Duarte of instigating the fight by pushing, kicking and punching the R&B singer and threatening to kill him.

No criminal charges were filed over the fight. Brown's lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.

Duarte's lawyer, Joseph Porter III, was not available for comment.

Don't confuse love with lust. Having a physical relationship with someone isn't an indication of emotional commitment. When in doubt, talk to a trusted friend. They'll give you an honest assessment of this bond. A relative may ask to come to their rescue. Fortunately, you have the necessary resources to bail them out.More
