Chris Martin fine, says brother

Chris Martin's brother has said that the Coldplay singer is doing OK following his split from Gwyneth Paltrow.

The couple announced that they were calling time on their marriage with a statement on the actress's website.

Now, asked about the break-up, Chris's younger brother Alex, an architect, has told The Daily Mirror: "He's bearing up OK. I love them both dearly, we all get on and there is no animosity.

"Me and my brother are very close."

The former couple are reported to be enjoying a family holiday on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, despite the split.

"They are enjoying their getaway together," a source told E! News. "They are out on the beach with the kids having fun. They are having a family vacation.

Meanwhile, The Sun reported that Coldplay's new album will feature Chris singing about a relationship breakdown.

Iron Man star Gwyneth announced the news of the separation, titled Conscious Uncoupling, on her website.

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate," she wrote.

"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate. We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
