Coldplay for US iTunes festival

Coldplay will perform at the US iTunes festival

Coldplay and Keith Urban are among the stars who will perform at the first iTunes festival in the US.

Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, Willie Nelson and London Grammar will also take to the stage at the event, which sees iT unes putting its stamp on South by Southwest, piggybacking on the annual event hosted by the city of Austin, Texas.

Will Champion of Coldplay said: "We're really looking forward to the first ever iTunes Festival in the US, and are thrilled to be asked to play on the opening night. It's a great honour for our band and we hope everyone has a fantastic time."

The popular free concert series has been held in London for the past seven years.

While the London version is a 30-day event, the American festival will feature five nights of rock, country, pop and hip-hop held at the ACL Live at the Moody Theatre.

The festival will be streamed live and on-demand through the iTunes store, iTunes radio and on Apple devices.

It will take place from March 11 to 15.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Virgo:

A close relationship could reach a rocky patch. Resist the urge to emotionally withdraw from your loved one. Be willing to address the issues that have been pulling you apart. You could hear some painful things about your behaviour. Instead of getting defensive, be open to changing for the sake of your relationship. Think back to a time when someone you loved worked hard to gain your affection and approval. Pattern your attitude after theirs. Being flexible is more important than being right.More
