Coolio cooks meal at student house

Coolio hung out with some students in Preston

Coolio gave a group of students an unusual experience - performing Gansta's Paradise and cooking peach crumble at their house.

The rapper, who has sold 17 million albums, met the students at his after party in Preston after performing at a gig.

He is said to have cooked a three-course meal before performing the track in their living room.

The performance, where he encourages the group to join in, was posted on YouTube and criticised by some as a publicity stunt.

But one student wrote: "Met Coolio on a student night out in Preston and he said he wanted to cook for me and my housemates the following night and that's exactly what happened.

"We decided to take a break from the cooking and have a jam session. Most surreal night of our lives!"

Another student wrote on Reddit: " We had Coolio's Caprese Salad, Chicken a la Daaaamn, and Peach Crumble... It was just as weird as it sounds."

They claim they went to Tesco with the rapper, who released Cookin With Coolio in 2009, to pick up ingredients.
