Cowell brings US X Factor act to UK

Simon Cowell's US X Factor group Fifth Harmony are set for a starring role on the UK series in December.

The head judge put the girl group together from rejected solo singers when he was working on the now-axed US version of the show in 2012, and they eventually came third.

Now it has been announced that Fifth Harmony will perform live on one of the UK X Factor's eviction shows on ITV next month.

Simon's label Syco Entertainment tweeted: "ICYMI: @FifthHarmony are performing on @TheXFactor December 7th! #5HOnXFUK."

Fifth Harmony, who are Camila Cabello, Ally Brooke, Dinah-Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui and Normani Hamilton, signed a joint record deal with Syco and fellow US X Factor judge LA Reid's label Epic after leaving the competition.

They are currently working on their first full-length album, Reflections, which will include their recent track Boss and upcoming single Sledgehammer.
