Damon Albarn to play London shows

Damon Albarn is to play two small shows in support of his debut solo album.

The Blur frontman unveils the record Everyday Robots on April 28 and two days later will take to the stage at the Rivioli Ballroom in Crofton Park.

Then on May 1 he will perform at The Great Hall at Queen Mary University of London.

Damon - whose career also includes a stint with virtual chart act Gorillaz - will be performing with a band including guitarist Seye, drummer Pauli The PSM, bassist Jeff Wootton and keyboard player Mike Smith.

The shows promise to be intimate as each venue has a capacity of less than 800.
