Dappy booed off festival stage

Dappy has denied he was booed off stage at the Isle of Wight festival

Dappy has slammed claims he was booed off stage at the Isle Of Wight festival - claiming revellers wanted to see him play longer.

The 27-year-old N-Dubz rapper reportedly began his set 15 minutes late and then only played a 10 minute set, which he has blamed on technical difficulties.

Dappy arrived on stage late after hearing boos from the crowd, according to the Daily Mirror. He reportedly spotted someone in the crowd holding a sign which read "F*** Dappy" and asked the audience to all turn and stare at them.

He walked off stage 10 minutes into his scheduled 40 minute set and later tweeted: "Killed Isle of White yesterday despite the horrific technicals."

Dappy has since added: "Rumours being said that I got booed off stage! We all know that s*** wouldn't happen to me!! They were p***ed off cause they wanted more."

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers performed later the same night and were also said to suffer technical problems, with fans complaining they couldn't hear.
