Delilah has revealed her debut album From The Roots Up is like her teenage diary.
The 21-year-old singer-songwriter is currently riding high in the album charts, but she has been working on some of the songs for years.
Delilah said: "I started making this album when I was about 13 years old so I was going through my own trials and tribulations, and my own little bit of turmoil and teenage angst, and my album came from it.
"So if kids can see that and realise you can turn something negative into something positive in any way possible then that's a great thing to see."
The Go singer admitted she has changed a lot, but she enjoys singing songs that are so personal to her.
She said: "I had to work hard in bridging the gap between me as a child and me as an adult and the growth. But I call it my diary of the last 10 years, so it's quite personal, and I really did use it as a way of expressing myself and letting out what I had to say."
