Doherty talks new Libertines album

Pete Doherty has said he'd love Jack White to produce the next album from The Libertines.

The band are planning to release a third album next year and a producer has not yet been announced.

But NME reported that Pete told French TV station D8: "Jack White says he'd like to do it. I'd love him to do it, it would be amazing."

"But," he added of the former White Stripes star: "I don't want to get too hopeful."

The first two albums from the reunited band, which also features Carl Barat. were produced by Mick Jones of The Clash.
