Dolly Parton to play Glastonbury?

Dolly Parton is rumoured to be performing at Glastonbury next year.

The US country music star has been linked to a Sunday Legends slot on the festival's Pyramid Stage at the 2014 event, reported The Sun.

A source said: "Dolly is perfect for the Sunday Legends slot. It didn't take any convincing - she's always wanted to play Glastonbury."

The rumours have gained pace as Dolly is set to be in the UK the weekend of the festival in June as she is on her Blue Smoke world tour - but isn't scheduled for a show on the Sunday.

That Sunday is apparently "being kept free deliberately".

The insider said: "She'll get a helicopter straight down on Sunday, or maybe even Saturday night after the show."

Dolly, 67, would be making her debut at the event at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.
