Domingo 'thrilled' at Camden call

Placido Domingo is to be the closing act for this year's iTunes Festival, rounding off a line-up of artists which includes Kylie Minogue and Pharrell Williams.

The Spanish tenor will perform at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London on September 30 to bring to an end the month of shows which begins tonight (September 1) with Deadmau5.

Other acts to be added to the bill in the last batch of announcements include Imelda May and SBTRKT.

Opera star Placido expressed his delight by being added to the line-up saying he was "above all, thrilled for the recognition that this brings to the unique and magnificent world of opera and classical music".

Other performers at this year's iTunes Festival include Calvin Harris, The Script, Blondie and Ed Sheeran.

Entry to the shows is free to ballot winners and the performances will also be screened online, with more details at at www.iTunesFestival.com.
