Ed Sheeran announces Belfast date on 2018 stadium tour
Ed Sheeran has announced he will be performing in Belfast next year.
The Thinking Out Loud singer will perform at the Boucher Road Playing Fields on May 9 as part of his new UK and Europe stadium tour.
The announcement was made on Wednesday via Ed's website - a day after he teased fans with new tour dates on social media.
The star will also perform dates at Dublin's Phoenix Park, Pairc ui Chaoimh in Cork and Pearse Stadium in Galway.
Tickets for the gigs will go on sale from Saturday, July 8 at 9am.
Ed announced 25 concert dates in total, including shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, Amsterdam and Paris.
It comes following his hugely successful headlining set at Glastonbury on Sunday night where he played in front of 100,000 fans.

He appeared on stage with Northern Ireland-based trad band Beoga for their collaboration song 'Nancy Mulligan'.
The singer released his third studio album Divide in March which has become one of the biggest selling records of the year so far with over eight million copies sold.
