Ed Sheeran: I'm not a sex symbol

Ed Sheeran has claimed that most women would rather mother him than bed him.

The Give Me Love singer doesn't see himself as a heartthrob and told People that although he gets attention from females they usually just want to look after him.

The 22-year-old, who is currently single, said: "If you speak to most women, they want to take me home and mother me rather than take me to bed. I just have that impression."

British singer-songwriter Ed also admitted he hasn't quite got used to seeing the ladies get so excited at his shows.

The star, who performed at the MTV Video Music Awards at the weekend, said: "I find the whole concept of women screaming at me so odd. It's very flattering, but I don't think I will ever consider myself to be a sex symbol."
