I think he's entitled to his opinion and others are entitled to disagree with him. Who knows? Does it "matter"? I am also entitled to say that I think Biblical truth is in no way literal truth. and have some disagree with me. As to the comments being "sacriligious" - to a particular individual maybe, but not in an absolute truth sense. I don't think the comments are intended to be disrespectful to the different beliefs of others.

Seriously get over it people, I doubt he actually thinks Jesus was gay. Maybe he was just trying to point out that true Christians should love everyone- as Jesus did. Interpret the words and stop making something where there is nothing! And to Norman D and the rest of you passing judgement- who do you think you are? You claim being gay is living is sin, yet passing blatant judgement on other people on the internet is slander and Jesus did not like that.

Shut up Elton, you're making yourself sound like a complete idiot. That people have to project themselves onto others like this is just a bit tragic. You'd have thought it would be enough to be a multimillionaire musician, but no, Elton has to also be in the same peer group as Jesus too. Even if Jesus was gay, how on Earth could anybody knowthat? If he was then it certainly looks like he did a good job of abstaining. For fear of looking as daft as you do right now Elton, I'll withold judgement on this one until I see the pap snaps.

I doubt if this comment by such a learned Biblical authority as Elton John will seriously shake modern theology, makes a change though from speculation that Jesus had a child by Mary Magdalene.

Stop Press - in an attempt to get himself back in the limelight in the US, Elton John has claimed in an otherwise non-story that Jesus was gay.

If you really are tired of being a celebrity, Elton - which I doubt very much - keep your stupid self-serving comments to yourself and get off the front pages of the world's magazines.
