Extra Irish dates added for Ed Sheeran 2018 sold out tour

Ed Sheeran has added two Irish dates to his 2018 stadium tour.

The Thinking Out Loud star will perform a third night at at Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday, May 6, as well as a third date at Dublin's Phoenix Park on Saturday, May 19.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday, July 15 at 9am.

Over 300,000 tickets for Ed's seven original Ireland dates were sold on Saturday morning - including his gig at Boucher Road Playing Fields in Belfast.

The singer announced earlier this month he would be embarking on a stadium tour of the UK and Ireland in 2018.

He will perform at Pairc Ui Caoimh in Cork on May 4 2018, with a second date at the venue on May 5.

He will then play Boucher Road Playing Fields, in Belfast on May 9 before Galway's Pearse Stadium on Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13.

His Dublin dates will see him play the Phoenix Park on Wednesday May 16 and Friday May 18.

Thousands of fans attempted to buy tickets online for the concerts at the weekend, with some left frustrated by the long waiting times.
