Ferguson fears One Direction fans

Rebecca Ferguson says there are no hard feelings between her and Zayn Malik

Rebecca Ferguson has confessed she hasn't tweeted her ex Zayn Malik to congratulate him on his engagement for fear of upsetting One Direction fans.

Rebecca dated Zayn briefly when they were on The X Factor together and he is now engaged to Little Mix's Perrie Edwards.

But Rebecca told The Sun that since her split from Zayn she has faced two years of abuse from One Direction's notoriously territorial fans.

She said: "I don't like to message him because I can't be bothered with the drama. I know it will be such a big deal like, 'Ooh, why all of a sudden is she tweeting him?'."

But there are no hard feelings between Rebecca and Zayn.

She insisted: "I am happy for Zayn because it was a rough time when we were dating. It was so brief and got made into a big deal. Now I just look at the 1D boys and wish them well."
