Fletcher: McFly my baby's uncles

Tom Fletcher and his wife Giovanna announced their baby news in a video

McFly star Tom Fletcher has joked that his bandmates can be his baby's "slightly irresponsible uncles".

The frontman recently announced that he and wife Giovanna were expecting their first child together and said on ITV's Daybreak that the rest of McFly would be a part of the baby's life.

"It'll have three uncles [pointing to his bandmates]... It'll have three slightly irresponsible uncles!" he laughed.

Tom also revealed he is thrilled that he will soon be a dad.

"I think we will be ready by the time the baby arrives. It's the most excited I've ever been in my life," he said.

Tom found an unusual way to announce the baby news earlier this week - by carving a message in pumpkins and placing a video online.

The couple created a musical video which saw them slicing through the skin of the squashes to spell out: "We're having a baby." The video was captioned: " Sometimes the best way to say something is with a pumpkin... and a song."

The video ended with a scan of the baby with a caption saying "Arriving 2014".

Bandmate Harry Judd joked on Daybreak: "That's what people do when they're having a baby, they write a lullaby and they do a nice clever, creative video. You know, that's how we roll."

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
