Florence Welch gets pocket money

Florence Welch says she has pocked money from her record label

Florence Welch has revealed she gets an allowance from her record company after spending too much on a credit card.

The singer, aka Florence And The Machine, said she went on a huge spending spree, buying meals and clothes for her wardrobe.

Florence, who has just completed an Australian tour, told The Sun: "I'm really bad with money so I'm not allowed a card."

She added: "The one time I got access to the credit card belonging to my publishing account, I went on a month-long spending spree - restaurants, taxis, clothes, more clothes. I was so freaked out by my capacity for spending."

The star is up for four gongs at the MTV Video Music Awards next month.
