Former So Solid rapper is arrested in Belfast

A former member of UK garage group So Solid Crew has been arrested by police in Belfast investigating an assault at a nightclub.

Ashley Walters — also known as Asher D — was one of four men arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning in relation to an alleged assault at Thompson's Garage. He was last night released on bail along with the others.

The London musician (right) turned actor had travelled to Northern Ireland to film the television production Small Island in Co Down.

He has previously acted alongside singer 50 Cent in the film Get Rich or Die Trying. The Londoner also played the lead role in the critically acclaimed film Bullet Boy, for which he won the British Independent Film Award for 'most promising newcomer' in 2004.\[Susan Penman\]Earlier this year, he returned to the studio and has recently released a new album.
