Aretha Franklin is performing in a hospital boot after stumbling over a designer shoe and fracturing a toe on her left foot.
The soul star's spokeswoman said that the singer has not missed any gigs despite the misstep following a private performance in Dallas.
Aretha performed on Thursday at the home of an "oil baron" and was packing at her hotel when the spiked heel of a Jimmy Choo shoe "wrapped" around her toe.
The spokeswoman said the Grammy-winner awoke the next day and "it was still hurting and throbbing".
Aretha stopped on Friday at an Indianapolis hospital and received the bad news. She continued on to a scheduled performance and was expected to sing on Tuesday night at the Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia.
