Franklin, LaBelle to sing for Obama
Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle and Janelle Monae are to perform for First Lady Michelle Obama.
Ariana Grande, Jill Scott, Melissa Etheridge and Tessanne Chin will also play at the concert, which celebrates women of soul, at the White House.
The show will be streamed live on March 6 on the White House website.
It is designed to celebrate what the White House describes as great "foremothers" of American music, with songs exploring the struggles and achievements of women.
In connection with the concert, the White House will hold a workshop for students to learn about the history of women in soul.
