Frodo Baggins to DJ at Snow Patrol gig

Elijah Wood starred as Frodo in The Lord of the Rings

Frodo Baggins is to make ‘an unexpected journey’ to Bushmills this summer to guest DJ at the Snow Patrol gig.

Actor Elijah Wood, best known for his lead role as Frodo in the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, will take to the stage with his friend Zach Cowie to perform a DJ set at Bushmills Live at the Old Bushmills Distillery on June 20 and 21.

He joins a bill that already features multi-platinum selling band Snow Patrol — whose festival fee is being donated in full to the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast.

Wood and Cowie, who perform under the name Wooden Wisdom, have DJ-ed at Bushmills launch events in the past, but this will be the first time they will have performed together at an event outside of the US.
