Lady Gaga got slightly teary-eyed as she thanked her fans for their support at her latest gig.

The 28-year-old singer gave an emotional speech as she took her ARTPOP Ball to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, reported the Daily Mirror.

Gaga, wearing a pink wig, said: "I want to say thank you to all of you, for inspiring me, for letting me be myself, it means so much to me. I'm so very grateful, I used to come here when I was little and see all the big fancy lights."

The New York-born star, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, also revealed her past as a nightclub dancer.

"I started go-go dancing when I was 18. The really, the most important thing I want to thank you for, is believing in just this tiny American girl from New York who had a dream," she continued.

Gaga later changed to a skimpy latex leotard and bright green wig to perform a slow version of her hit, Born This Way.
