Gaga tweets more Applause lyrics

Lady Gaga has shared more lyrics from her comeback single Applause with fans via Twitter.

The singer has been out of action after a hip operation but will release Applause on August 19 and has been teasing fans with some of the song's words.

Her latest lyrics tweet read: "I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong to crash the critic saying: is it right or is it wrong? 8.19."

Applause will be the first single from Gaga's forthcoming album Artpop and a few days earlier she also tweeted lyrics from what looks to be the chorus.

They read: "Give me that thing that I love put your hands up make 'em touch A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E."

The Born This Way singer, 27, has announced that she will debut the video for Applause on the same day that the single is released.

She will also launch a free Artpop app which fans can buy music from the album through and which she has described as "in essence, an interactive jewel case".
