Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is engaged to her American football star boyfriend Jason Bell.

The singer revealed that her partner of two years popped the question while she was in her pyjamas and went down on two knees rather than the traditional one because of an injury.

"He surprised me with a ring and stuff, while I was in my pyjamas. If I'd have known I would have got a blow dry, or at least got a manicure or something," she said.

Despite recent rumours that she had been dropped from the line-up, she insisted: "Girls Aloud are on a break, we took a break last year which we were always going to do at some point.

"We did the Greatest Hits album and then two more after that. We did Wembley with Coldplay and that was a natural time to do it."

She is getting ready to release a new solo single, Insatiable, but it won't affect Girls Aloud.

She said: "No, not at all, I'm never going to leave, we have worked so hard for so many years.

"We'll see what happens and come back whenever there are good songs again. Everybody has just started to get their own stuff going."

And that includes a romantic proposal from fiance Jason.

She said: "Yes, it's an engagement ring. It happened last week.

"I just got back from London and he surprised me with a ring, while I was in my pyjamas. If I had known, I'd have had a blow-dry or had a manicure or something.

"It happened in LA. He got down on two knees, not one knee because he had played football for a while and was all bandaged up. It was different and really nice."

This isn't a good time to make travel plans. Weather conditions and work responsibilities have a way of wreaking havoc with your schedule. Wait another few days before putting down a hefty deposit. Working behind the scenes will yield significant rewards. If someone asks you to serve as their assistant, go ahead and accept. The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
