Glee denies Justin Bieber episode

One Justin Bieber song will be featured on Glee

Glee will not be dedicating an episode to teenage star Justin Bieber.

It had been reported that the hit TV show would pay tribute to the Baby singer's songs, but this has been denied by creator Ryan Murphy.

"Those [tributes] are reserved for artists with big catalogues," he told Entertainment Weekly.

However, he revealed that one Bieber track would be performed in the forthcoming second series.

"Bieber comes up in episode 13 as a small plot point. Sam (Chord Overstreet) sings a JB song to win Quinn's (Dianna Agron) approval," Ryan added.

The episode, which is titled Comeback, will air later this year and will also feature Rachel (Lea Michele) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) diva'ing it out on a tune from Rent.

Ryan also confirmed Gwyneth Paltrow would reprise her role as substitute teacher Holly Holliday for two episodes, and date Glee Club's Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison).

"Gwyneth is coming back for two episodes. She's coming back specifically to date Will," he said.

"Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry. She's coming back as a sex education teacher. Gwyneth and I are emailing, talking every week: What are we gonna sing? We're trying to do something fantastic."

Lady Gaga's new single, Born This Way, will also feature in an upcoming episode."I love that that song is anthem," Ryan continued. "I don't really know what that's going to be, but I do know we're going to do a whole episode about that song."
