Hi °C | Lo °C Rhydian, Leon, Same Difference and co have added an extra date to the X Factor Live Tour in Belfast next year.
Due to the demand the finalists will now play the Odyssey arena on February 12, 2008 as well as February 11. Tickets are £29 and are on sale now from the Odyssey Arena box office (9073 9074). Scotland's latest singer-songwriter Amy McDonald is to play Belfast next year. The young up and coming star, whose influences include Pete Doherty, Fran Healy and Ewan McGregor, will play the Limelight on February 4. Tickets, priced £11, are available from Katy Daly's.
Sonic Academy, which provides DJ training for dozens of young hopefuls, is appealing for information after £4,500 worth of video recording equipment was stolen from its office in Queen Street, Belfast. The equipment includes a Canon XH-A1 HD camera, battery and light, Sennheiser ME-66 short gun microphone and radio microphone kit, all contained in a Pelican waterproof flight case with foam. Anyone who can help them trace the equipment should contact 9023 9022 during office hours or 07970 663228 outside office hours.
Gorgeous Girls Aloud have announced a third and final concert date in Belfast on Saturday, May 3. The extra show was added on after May 4 and May 5 at the Odyssey Arena sold out. The shows are the only Irish dates on their Tangled Up Tour 2008. Tickets are on sale now from Odyssey Arena box office, Zavvi and all usual outlets.
Belfast singer Foy Vance will be putting on a special show for Radio Ulster listeners on Christmas Eve at 6.05pm. Foy will be joined by Sinead O'Connor and Duke Special for the one-off show Foy Vance and Friends. The show will be repeated on Christmas Day at 4pm.
