Henderson: I'll be honest in album
Ella Henderson has revealed that her upcoming debut album will "represent" the real her.
The X Factor singer is working on her first record, after signing to Simon Cowell's label Syco Music, which she said will be released some time this year.
"We're finding the 'Ella' sound. I think a lot of people expect me to come out with an album that is just going to have emotive ballads on there - I have written a lot of emotive songs that are quite deep. My album's going to be honest, truthful," she said.
The 17-year-old added: "Whatever I feel I need to say, that's when it's going to be released. It's going to represent me and who I am, and let everybody know who I am as a person."
Ella hasn't decided on a release date yet: "It's just going to be ready when I guess it's ready. I didn't want a time limit put on it. I didn't want that pressure on my shoulders to have it done, which is probably the best way of working because it's flowing really easily, and coming out very naturally, so it'll be definitely some point this year," she added.
The singer is supporting Disney Club Penguin's Safer Internet Day campaign on February 5.
"It's a day to raise awareness to keep kids safe online, and that's a really important thing to Disney. With the profile I have coming away from a show like The X Factor, I can use it to help raise awareness of how important it is to stay safe online for kids," she said.
