Idris Elba joins V Festival line-up

Idris Elba will bring his musical talents to V Festival

Idris Elba will swap his gritty detective role in Luther for a chilled-out vibe by joining the line-up for this year's V Festival.

The Golden Globe-winning actor is also a critically-acclaimed musician and will be bringing his brand of hip-hop and dance to the festival, which takes place across two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire over one weekend.

Other acts recently announced for V Festival are Brit singer John Newman, blues rock artist Seasick Steve, rapper Naughty Boy and pop band Lawson.

They will be joining headliners Beyonce and Kings Of Leon, and other festival performers including Emeli Sande, Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Basement Jaxx, Rita Ora, Rudimental and Little Mix.

Virgin Media's V Festival will be held at Weston Park in Staffordshire and Hylands Park in Chelmsford on August 17 and 18.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Scorpio:

You should be justifiably proud of your progress. It isn't easy to break a bad habit, but you've managed to do so. A perverse side of your personality may tempt you to fall back on the old ways, just to give yourself another challenge. Ignore these impulses. Channel your energy in a positive direction instead. Learning to make clothes, furniture or jewellery will be a great use of your creative ability. You'll be especially successful if you use old, discarded materials in your work.More
