Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl told the crowd "it's an honour to be here" as the US rock giants made their Belfast debut last night.

The band - who have recorded seven studio albums since forming in 1994 - played many of their anthemic hits during last night's Tennent's Vital show, including All My Life, Monkey Wrench, This Is A Call and Everlong.

Grohl, who last visited Belfast in 1992 while drumming with Nirvana, said: "I waited too long."
