Irish star Hozier to headline at Belfast's Belsonic music festival

Irish rock and blues artist Hozier is to headline at the Belsonic music festival, organisers said.

The singer/songwriter from Co Wicklow said he was thrilled to be returning to Belfast on August 24.

"It's a rare treat to get to perform so close to home. I'm very much looking forward to it," he said.

Hozier achieved mainstream international success last year with his single Take Me To Church.

Belsonic will be held at Custom House Square in the city centre over seven nights next month.

Other headliners include Rudimental, Bastille, Paloma Faith and Stereophonics.
