Rolling Stone Sir Mick Jagger celebrated his 70th birthday early after rounding off the band's 50th anniversary celebrations.

The rocker doesn't actually turn 70 until July 26, but held a private party at the LouLou club in Mayfair to mark the milestone at the weekend, after performing to crowds in Hyde Park.

However, it seems the bash was relatively low-key, with all of the band apparently leaving by 1.30am - and guitarist Keith Richards sleeping through it.

A source told The Sun: "Keith went back to his hotel suite with the intention of getting ready to go to the party. But when he got in, he ended up going for a snooze. By the time he woke up there was no point going as he'd missed most of the action."

Mick was joined at the party by girlfriend L'Wren Scott and children Jade, James, Elizabeth and Georgia May.

Other stars there included Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall, Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick, actress Jaime Winstone and her actor boyfriend Alfie Allen, model Suki Waterhouse and actress Alice Eve.
