Jenkins' tears at post-split gig

Katherine Jenkins was comforted by conductor Anthony Inglis when she got tearful during her Oxford concert

Katherine Jenkins tearfully told fans "it's been tough" as she gave her first concert since splitting with fiance Gethin Jones.

The mezzo-soprano, who revealed last month that she had broken up with former Blue Peter presenter Gethin, wept on stage after performing the opening song at her Oxford gig this weekend.

The 31-year-old, who wore a jewel-encrusted white gown for the emotional show, wiped away tears and was comforted by conductor Anthony Inglis before reportedly admitting: "It's been tough."

Anthony tweeted afterwards: "What an emotional evening. So wonderful to see the strength of @kathjenkins. Glad I could come to the aid with a hankie. Needed one myself."

Welsh stars Katherine and Gethin, who began dating in late 2007, announced the break-up news through separate statements on their Twitter pages in December.

Katherine said they were both "beyond broken-hearted" at the decision.

The pair announced their engagement in February and were expected to wed this year.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
