Carly Rae Jepsen has joked that she would like to see Leonard Cohen cover her hit, Call Me Maybe.
The 26-year-old - whose debut album Kiss is out on September 17 - is a fan of the fellow Canadian, and reckons his rendition could be rather interesting.
"I suspect it's not totally his genre, but it would be a hoot to watch him perform it! Although, to be honest, I don't know if I really want to see Leonard Cohen do anything but Famous Blue Raincoat on repeat. Leonard is my favourite lyricist," she told the Guardian.
Carly, who's also a fan of Lesley Feist and Dragonette, said she doesn't mind if people cover her songs. Call Me Maybe has been featured on Glee, was the subject of a Barack Obama YouTube mash-up and was lip-synched by the US Olympic swimming team.
"Every step of the way, there's been something encouraging to see from the covers," she explained.
"The Olympic team was amazing, but everything counts."
