Jessie J casts a fashion range
Jessie J is casting her eye over a new range - of cast covers.
The 23-year-old pop star, who performed at the launch of the latest collection of BlackBerry 7 smartphones and the new BBM Music service in London, is considering a lucrative new sideline, thanks to her broken left foot.
"I personally think me and my merchandise company should do some cast covers, because you don't get to pick cool colours. I often get cast envy!" she quipped.
Jessie's foot was injured in three places after she ruptured some tendons during rehearsals, and she is looking forward to getting it back on the mend, following a bone transplant.
"I start physio soon, so I'm looking forward to that," she said.
"I'm an impatient person and I just want it to be better, but I know it's just going to take a little time."
She remains upbeat about her condition, and is putting aside any concerns about the long-term impact. "It's just going to affect so much. I just can't fly as much as I did before," she continued.
"I have done three videos with this foot and there have been times when I've thought, 'Really, why me? Why now?' But everything happens for a reason. If I hadn't broken my foot, I wouldn't have written my new single Domino."
She added: "It's just something that happens. If I never walk again, if I never wear heels again, it's a small price to pay to have an amazing life, the success I've been given and the family, friends and fans that I have."
