Jo Brand wants Morrissey in film

Jo Brand is trying to convince Morrissey to appear in her film

Jo Brand has revealed she's trying to cast Morrissey in the TV adaptation of her book The More You Ignore Me.

The comedian has been commissioned by the BBC to adapt her novel, about a troubled young girl who finds solace in Morrissey's music, and she would like the man himself to play a part.

She said: "I've just completed the final draft of the script based on one of my novels, which the BBC has commissioned as a 90-minute film. I'm really, really pleased about that. I'm going to try to get Morrissey to play the vicar in it, but I'm not holding out much hope."

Jo is about to appear in Jo Brand's Big Splash, a comedy series in which she tries out all kinds of watery activities.

She said: "Basically it was quite nice swimming ideas at the beginning and then it metamorphosed into horrible ideas. I was tortured in various forms of water or made to jump off things or generally humiliated!"

:: Jo Brand's Big Splash, in which she explores all things watery, can be seen on Dave from September 22.

Gemini:

This is a good time to establish a routine. Create a schedule that strikes a nice balance between your personal and professional lives. You're the type of person who needs plenty of intellectual stimulation outside of work. If you've been spending too much time at the office, reduce your hours. This may mean less money, but you can't put a price on happiness. You might even decide to take a job with unconventional hours so you can play sports or spend more time outdoors.More
