Justin Timberlake denies new track

Justin Timberlake has denied the new track is his

Justin Timberlake has denied claims he's bringing out a new song called Take You Down.

The track, which allegedly featured the SexyBack singer's vocals over a Neptunes beat, quickly led to false speculation that Justin was working on new material after it was leaked online.

But his spokesperson issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly, saying: "Various media outlets recently reported that a song called Take You Down is a new track from Justin Timberlake - these reports are untrue.

"The song is the work of a Danish artist named Rasmus Thude. Justin's representatives were not initially contacted to fact check the validity of these reports or if the song was, in fact, his."

The representative added: "Justin has no involvement with either the song or the artist but wants to assure his fans that when he releases new music, they will be the first to know."

Justin has been focusing on his Hollywood career with roles in David Fincher's The Social Network, and forthcoming titles Yogi Bear and Bad Teacher, with his last album FutureSex/LoveSounds released in 2006.
