Kanye paid 3 mil for Kazakhstan gig

Kanye West reportedly performed at a wedding in Kazakhstan

Kanye West has reportedly raked in three million dollars for performing at the wedding of the president of Kazakhstan's grandson.

The Yeezus rapper was called in to entertain guests at President Nursultan Nazarbayev's grandson's big day, according to TMZ.

The bash was at the Hotel Royal Tulip in Almaty on August 31, meaning Kanye missed Labour Day Weekend in the US with girlfriend Kim Kardashian and their new baby. But the rapper was apparently well compensated with the three million dollar payment.

Wedding guests said he performed all of his big hits on stage at the reception, including Can't Tell Me Nothing, and one posted a video of his performance on Instagram.

In 2011 Sting backed out of a paid gig for President Nazarbayev because of the alleged mistreatment of oil workers in Kazakhstan.
