Kanye West speaks of mother regret

Kanye West has spoken of his regret that his mum never got to meet his daughter North.

Donda West, died suddenly in 2007, at the age of 58, shortly after she had plastic surgery, of heart disease and other factors.

Speaking on stage in Connecticut, the Daily Mirror quoted the rapper as saying that "these past 10 years have been amazing."

He added: "There's been some ups and downs. I made some mistakes and I've made some accomplishments. There's only one thing I regret."

Kim Kardashian's fiance added: "There's only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that's ever happened. I wish that my mother could've met my daughter."

Kanye previously told Kim's mum Kris Jenner on her chat show: "There were times [after my mum's death], I would put my life at risk. I didn't have something to live for.

"Now I have two very special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."

Kim and Kanye became parents in June last year.
