Katy Perry: I liked being married

Katy Perry says she liked being married

Katy Perry has said she liked being married, but is happy with the way her life is now.

The Roar singer told W magazine she felt that her split from ex-husband Russell Brand had happened for a reason.

She said of marriage: "I really loved it. It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now and I think all things happen for a reason."

Katy, 28, was married to Russell Brand, 38, for 14 months before he told her by text at New Year that he wanted a divorce, and the pop star has said she hasn't seen him since.

She is now dating singer John Mayer, 36, and told the magazine she'd had a crush on him for years before they got together.

When asked who she had a crush on, Katy admitted: "I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great."

As far back as April 2009, Katy changed the lyrics to one of her songs during a concert to, 'I can't believe I fell in love with John Meyer'.

Scorpio:

You should be justifiably proud of your progress. It isn't easy to break a bad habit, but you've managed to do so. A perverse side of your personality may tempt you to fall back on the old ways, just to give yourself another challenge. Ignore these impulses. Channel your energy in a positive direction instead. Learning to make clothes, furniture or jewellery will be a great use of your creative ability. You'll be especially successful if you use old, discarded materials in your work.More
