Katy Perry talks Miley Cyrus kiss

Katy Perry has said she was as surprised as anyone when Miley Cyrus leaned in to smooch her at a recent gig.

Wrecking Ball singer Miley gave Roar songstress Katy, who was in the audience, a kiss mid-concert during the LA stop of her Bangerz tour last month.

Katy reportedly told Australian talk show Sunrise: "I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do and then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away!"

Katy joked: "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous!"

The Dark Horse singer said she was getting in shape for her own Prismatic world tour, which begins in May.

"It's a lot of work, I have to be very focused," E! Online reported her as saying. "Right now I've cut out all alcohol, all fatty foods, a lot of dairy. I go home and I'm going to have like mostly vegetarian, with some protein on the side like chicken."

"I'm almost 30, my body does not snap back any more!"

Meanwhile, John Mayer has praised Katy despite reports of their split.

"She's extremely driven and extremely serious about doing great work,"John told America's Sirius Radio.

The singer also said he understood why women go back to their exes, Mail Online reported.

"It is a connection to the past, a reaction to fear of the unknown. They go back with a guy they don't like just because they know how to get to his bathroom in the dark."
