Kay records Roary Racing Car album

Peter Kay has made an album for young fans of his Roary show

Peter Kay is revving up for the charts - after recording an album of kids songs for his hit show Roary The Racing Car.

The funnyman features on all 20 tracks of Ready, Steady, Go which is being released next month.

He has previously made the charts after putting together occasional light-hearted releases including a Comic Relief single and as spoof singer Geraldine McQueen.

Kay voices the character of mechanic Big Chris in the Channel 5 and Nick Jr show.

He also sings as American saloon car Tin Top on the album, which comes out on March 14.

Co-creator of Roary, Keith Chapman, said: "Peter Kay has a brilliant singing voice and the music in the series really captivates children.

"They will have a lot of fun joining in and singing the songs with Roary and his friends."

Kay's voice also features in the new stage show adaptation of Roary which is touring 90 venues around the UK.

Taurus:

An embarrassing secret will come to light, affecting your reputation. Somebody who once admired you will now turn away in dismay. Instead of trying to win their affection again, lay low for a wee while. You'll make a much better impression by letting your actions speak for themselves. There is a chance this relationship is beyond redemption. If your former friend decides to keep their distance, you will have no other choice than to respect their feelings. Better luck next time.More
